pendpost MCP server
by pendpost
Let your AI draft and schedule social media posts, with you approving every post before it goes live.

pendpost is a free tool that runs on your own computer and helps you plan social media posts. You connect it to your AI assistant, and the AI can write drafts, check them, and line them up to publish. It is handy for anyone who posts on several platforms and wants help without losing control of what actually gets published.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to pendpost, your local social media planner, so the AI can create drafts, schedule them, and read back what is queued. You still decide what gets approved, and nothing goes out until you say so.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI to write or schedule a post. The AI uses this helper to talk to pendpost on your computer. pendpost saves the post as a draft, checks it against your writing rules, and puts it in a queue. When you approve a draft, pendpost publishes it to the platform you connected, at the time you set. You can also ask the AI to show you what is waiting, what went out, or how a post did.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Draft posts for Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Facebook, and more
- Schedule posts for a specific date and time
- Approve or reject drafts before anything publishes
- Check captions against your brand rules and writing style
- See what is queued, what is live, and what failed
- Upload and manage images and covers for your posts
- Pull basic insights from connected platforms
Try asking your AI
- “Write a LinkedIn post about our new pricing and schedule it for Tuesday at 9am”
- “Show me all drafts waiting for approval”
- “Check this caption against my brand rules before I approve it”
- “What posts went out this week and how did they do”
What it gives back to you
You get back clear answers in the chat: lists of drafts, the status of each post, lint results with any warnings, and confirmation when something is scheduled or published. It can also show you activity history and basic numbers from platforms that support insights. Changes it makes, like creating or approving a post, show up as a short confirmation so you know what happened.
Before you start
What you need

Good to know
