Deep Research MCP server
by SECRET4422
Lets your AI search the web, read pages, and write a research report with sources.
This is a helper that gives your AI a research skill. You give it a topic, and it searches the web, reads several pages, and writes a short report with links to where the facts came from. It is handy for anyone who has to gather information quickly, like analysts, students, writers, or anyone preparing a briefing.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already knows. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to something outside the chat. This one connects your AI to the open web through DuckDuckGo search and page reading. So when you ask a research question, the AI can actually look things up and bring back real pages instead of guessing.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something like research this topic for me. The AI passes your request to this helper. The helper searches DuckDuckGo, opens several of the top pages in parallel, cleans the messy web page text into tidy notes, and pulls out the key points. Then it writes a short report with citations and saves it to a small memory file on your computer so you can find it again later.
What you can do with it
- Search the web without needing any API key
- Read a web page and turn it into clean, readable text
- Run a full research report on a topic with sources
- Compare two to five pages and show where they agree or disagree
- Fact-check a claim by looking for support and rebuttals
- Save findings to a memory file that survives restarts
- Search your saved findings later by keyword or tag
Try asking your AI
- “Research the current state of electric car batteries and give me a short report with sources”
- “Fact check the claim that standing desks improve productivity”
- “Compare these three articles about remote work and tell me where they disagree”
- “Save this finding about MCP servers to my research memory with the tag ai”
What it gives back to you
You get back a written summary in the chat, usually a few paragraphs with bullet points and a list of source links. It can also give you a list of search results, a cleaned-up version of a single page, or a comparison table of several pages. When you save something, it confirms the save and you can search for it later.
Before you start
What you need
- Node.js 18 or newer installed on your computer
- The Claude desktop app or another AI app that supports MCP servers
Good to know
It reads public web pages and saves notes to a folder on your computer, so avoid pasting private or sensitive information into research requests.
Install it with your AI
Add Deep Research MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check Deep Research MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,609 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
Anyone who needs to gather information from the web quickly, like analysts, students, writers, journalists, and office workers preparing reports.
