Impri MCP server
by sekera-radim · official
Lets your AI ask you for approval before it sends, posts, or changes anything.

Impri is an approval inbox that sits between your AI assistant and the real world. When your AI wants to send an email, post a reply, or run a change, it asks you first, and you approve, edit, or reject it. It is handy for anyone who uses an AI agent to do real tasks but wants a human check before anything actually happens.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to another service. This one connects your AI to Impri, an approval inbox. So when your AI wants to do something real, it can send the request to Impri and wait for your yes or no.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI to do something, like send an email or post a reply. The AI uses this helper to push the proposed action into your Impri inbox, with a title and a preview of what it plans to do. You get a notification on the web, your phone, Slack, Discord, or Telegram. You read it and approve, edit, or reject it. If you approve, the AI carries out the action and reports back whether it worked.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Approve or reject an action your AI wants to take
- Edit the draft text before approving, and the AI uses your edited version
- Get notified on Slack, Discord, Telegram, email, ntfy, or a webhook
- Check how many actions are waiting before starting a big batch
- Set up watchers that feed matching items into your inbox
- Use ready-made watcher templates for Hacker News, GitHub releases, npm, and more
- See a record of who decided what and when in the audit log
Try asking your AI
- “Send this outreach email to Sarah, but ask me first.”
- “Draft a reply to this support ticket and put it in my approval inbox.”
- “Run this database change, but wait for my approval before you do.”
- “Check my Impri inbox and tell me how many actions are waiting.”
What it gives back to you
You get a clear entry in your inbox showing what the AI wants to do, with a preview you can read. After you decide, the AI gets your answer back, including any edits you made. It then reports whether the action succeeded or failed. In the chat, your AI can tell you the status of each action and what happened next.
Before you start
What you need
- An Impri API key starting with im_ (you can get one with a single command, no signup form)
- The Impri cloud address, or your own self-hosted Impri server
- An AI tool that supports MCP, like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or Windsurf
- Node.js installed on your computer so the npx command can run
Good to know
This is only a real gate if the approved path is the AI's only way to do the action, so do not also give your AI the raw password or key for the same task.
Install it with your AI
Add Impri MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check Impri MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
Anyone who uses an AI agent to send messages, post content, or make changes and wants a human check before it happens.
