Sequa MCP server
by sequa-ai
Let your AI assistant read your whole codebase and docs so its answers and code actually fit your project.

Sequa is a tool that turns your codebase into documentation that keeps itself up to date. This MCP server connects Sequa to your AI coding assistant, so the assistant can look up how your project really works before it answers. It is handy for developers and teams who are tired of their AI writing code that does not fit.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI assistant can only chat with what it already knows or what you paste in. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to another service. This one connects your AI to Sequa, which holds knowledge about your codebase, docs, tickets, and internal standards. Once connected, your AI can ask Sequa questions and use the answers while it works.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI assistant a question about your project, or you ask it to write some code. The assistant uses this helper to talk to Sequa, which looks through your codebase and docs. Sequa sends back current information, with links to the source. Your assistant then uses that to answer you or write code that fits your project. No more copying and pasting old docs into the chat.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Ask how a part of your codebase works and get a current answer
- Get architecture overviews and API docs generated from your code
- Look up your team's internal standards before writing code
- Find onboarding guides and runbooks that stay up to date
- Search across repositories, docs, and tickets in one place
- Get answers with links back to the source files
Try asking your AI
- “How does the login flow work in our main app?”
- “Write a new endpoint that follows our team's coding standards.”
- “What is our process for deploying to production?”
- “Where is the user settings page defined and what does it depend on?”
What it gives back to you
You get answers in plain language, pulled from your own codebase and docs. The answers come with links to the source, so you can check them yourself. Sometimes you get summaries, architecture overviews, or generated docs. Everything appears right in your AI chat, like a normal reply.
Before you start
What you need
- A Sequa account (sign up at app.sequa.ai)
- A project set up inside the Sequa app
- The MCP setup URL from that project
- An AI tool that supports MCP, like Cursor or Claude Desktop
Good to know
It reads your codebase, docs, and tickets, so make sure you are comfortable sharing that with the AI tool you connect.
Install it with your AI
Add Sequa MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check Sequa MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
Developers and engineering teams who use AI coding assistants and want them to understand their actual project.
