Reddit Summarizer MCP server
Let your AI read and summarize your Reddit front page, any subreddit, or the comments on a post.

This is a small helper that lets your AI assistant read Reddit for you and give you a short summary. Instead of scrolling through dozens of posts and comment threads, you ask for a summary and get the gist in the chat. It is handy for anyone who follows busy subreddits and wants the highlights without the endless scrolling.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. It cannot open Reddit, read posts, or check comments. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill, and this one connects it to Reddit. Once it is set up, your AI can look at your front page or a subreddit and tell you what is going on, because you asked it to.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something like summarize the hot posts in a subreddit. The AI passes your request to this helper program. The helper logs into Reddit with your own Reddit account details, fetches the posts you asked for, and optionally reads the comments under them. Then it hands everything back to your AI, which writes a short summary for you in the chat.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Summarize your own Reddit front page
- Summarize any subreddit by hot, new, top, rising, or random posts
- Include comment analysis for a deeper look at what people think
- Summarize the comments on one specific post
- Set how many posts or comments to look at
- Use a ready-made prompt template to get a tidy, categorized summary
Try asking your AI
- “Summarize my Reddit front page with comment analysis so I understand what people think”
- “Summarize the hot posts in Politics”
- “Summarize the newest posts in a small hobby subreddit”
- “Summarize the comments on this post: paste the Reddit link here”
What it gives back to you
You get a written summary in the chat, not a wall of raw posts. It can be a short overview of the main topics, a list of the top posts with a line about each, or a summary of what commenters are saying. If you use the prompt template, the summary comes back grouped into categories so it is easier to read.
