Searchpin MCP server
by telly6
Lets your AI search the web through Baidu, Sogou and Bing, with no API key and no cost.

Searchpin is a free helper that gives your AI the ability to search the web. It runs on your own computer and uses four search engines at once, so it works well even inside China without a VPN. It is handy for anyone whose AI needs to look things up online.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with what it already knows. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to a service. This one connects your AI to web search engines, so when you ask a question it can go and look things up for you. You install it once, and after that your AI can search whenever it needs to.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI a question that needs fresh information. The AI passes your question to Searchpin. Searchpin sends that question to four search engines at the same time: Baidu, Sogou, Bing CN and Bing Intl. It gathers the results, merges them, and re-orders them so the most relevant ones come first. Then your AI gets a tidy list of results back and can read the pages that look useful.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Search the web across four engines at once
- Fetch and read the full text of a web page
- Get results re-ranked so the best ones come first
- Read pages built with modern frameworks like Next.js and Nuxt
- Spot results that do not match your question
- Compare information across several sources
- Search without any API key or usage limit
Try asking your AI
- “Search for the latest news about electric cars in China”
- “Find the official Python 3.13 release notes and summarize what changed”
- “Look up reviews of a hotel in Shanghai and tell me what people say”
- “Fetch this page and tell me the main points”
What it gives back to you
You get a short list of results, each with a title, a web address and a short snippet. Your AI can then pick the pages worth reading and fetch them in full. It may also give you a summary or an answer based on what it found. The results come back inside your normal chat, so you just read them like any other reply.
Before you start
What you need
- Python installed on your computer
- A one-time download of about 118MB for the re-ranking model
Good to know
It reads public web pages, so the information it brings back can be wrong or out of date, and your AI should check important facts against more than one source.
