Twelve Data MCP server
by twelvedata
Ask your AI for live and past stock, crypto, and forex prices, plus indicators and company facts.

This connects your AI assistant to Twelve Data, a service that keeps financial market information like stock prices, crypto rates, and company numbers. Once it is connected, you can just ask your AI questions about markets in normal words. It is handy for anyone who follows stocks, crypto, or currencies and wants quick answers without opening a dozen websites.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already learned. An MCP server is a small helper that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an outside service. This one connects your AI to Twelve Data, so it can look up real prices and company facts for you. You ask a question, and the helper goes and fetches the answer from Twelve Data.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something like what a stock is trading at right now. The AI sends that request to this helper, which talks to the Twelve Data service. Twelve Data sends back the price, or a chart of past prices, or a company detail. The AI then explains it to you in the chat in plain words. You never have to visit the Twelve Data website yourself.

- “How has Bitcoin done against the dollar this week?”
What it gives back to you
You get answers written in the chat, like a price, a short list of numbers, or a summary of a company report. For things like price history or indicators, the AI may show a small table or a list of dates and values. It can also give you a plain-language explanation of what the numbers mean. Everything appears right in your conversation, no separate app needed.
