Malong LiuHe code tools
by wulun811
Lets your AI read, search and safely edit the code in a project folder you point it at.

Malong LiuHe is a helper for AI assistants that work on code. It gives your AI a proper set of tools to look through a project, find where things are defined, and make careful edits. It is handy if you use an AI to help with a codebase and want it to stop guessing.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to something. This one connects your AI to a folder of code on your computer, so it can look things up and change them when you ask. You install it once, and then it just sits there quietly in the background.
What this MCP server does
You point this helper at a project folder on your machine. It reads through the files and builds a small index of where every function, class and variable lives. When you ask your AI something about the code, the AI calls this helper, and the helper answers with exact names, files and line numbers. If you ask it to change something, it makes the edit in a careful, undoable way instead of blindly overwriting text.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Find where a function or variable is defined in your project
- Show a map of all the files and what is inside them
- List everything that would break if you change a piece of code
- Rename something across many files in one go
- Run your tests and report what passed or failed
- Spot possible security issues with simple pattern checks
- Find code that is no longer used anywhere
Try asking your AI
- “Search my project for a function called handle_login and show me where it is”
- “What would break if I rename the User class?”
- “Give me a map of the files in this project”
- “Run the tests and tell me which ones failed”
What it gives back to you
You get back plain answers in the chat: lists of matching names with their file and line numbers, a file map, or a summary of what changed. When it edits code, it tells you which files it touched. If something goes wrong, it explains the problem and suggests what to try next.
Before you start
What you need
- A folder of code on your computer
- Node.js 20 or newer
- The malong-parse helper program (a prebuilt file is available, or you can build it)
- An AI app that supports MCP servers, like Claude Desktop or opencode
Good to know
It can change and delete code in the folder you point it at, so keep your project in version control and check what it did before you trust it.
Install it with your AI
Add Malong LiuHe code tools to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check Malong LiuHe code tools, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
Developers and anyone who uses an AI assistant to work on a codebase and wants it to read and edit files more reliably.
