Flow diagram: you ask your AI “Find a tool to check if my site is ready”, the AgentBodega MCP server connects it to AgentBodega catalog, and you get back tool details and example request.

AgentBodega MCP is a helper that gives your AI a live catalog of paid online tools, called endpoints, that live on the AgentBodega website. Your AI can search that catalog, compare prices, and get the exact instructions for using a tool. It is handy if you or your AI need to find a specific online service and want to know what it costs and what to send before you try it.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to AgentBodega, a live catalog of paid online tools. Once connected, your AI can look things up in that catalog and hand you the details you need, without you having to browse the site yourself.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI for something, like a social media lookup or a status check. Your AI uses this helper to search the AgentBodega catalog for a tool that fits. The helper talks to the AgentBodega website and brings back the tool's price, what you need to send it, and an example request. You get a clear answer in the chat with the details and a ready-to-edit snippet. The helper does not pay for or run the tool itself; it only gives you the instructions.

What you can do with it

  • Search the live catalog of paid tools by keyword, category, or maximum price
  • Plan the cheapest useful route for a plain-language task
  • Get the full details of a specific tool, including price and required inputs
  • Generate ready-to-edit request snippets with a payment placeholder
  • Read the payment guide to understand how x402 and L402 work
  • Look up the live catalog, x402, L402, and OpenAPI documents as resources

Try asking your AI

  • “Find me a tool that checks if a website is launch-ready and tell me what it costs”
  • “I need to look up a social media profile. What is the cheapest option in AgentBodega?”
  • “Show me the full details and an example request for the real-estate listing search tool”
  • “Explain how the x402 payment model works before I make a paid call”

What it gives back to you

You get back lists of matching tools with short summaries, prices, and required inputs. For a specific tool, you get the full contract: method, URL, price, schemas, and example request and output. You also get ready-to-edit curl and JavaScript snippets with a payment placeholder. Everything appears as text in your chat, and no paid call is made for you.

Before you start

What you need

  • The Claude desktop app or another MCP client that supports Streamable HTTP
  • Node.js 18 or newer if you run it with npx
  • An AgentBodega account or payment setup only if you decide to actually pay for a tool

Good to know

This helper only gives you instructions; it never pays for or runs a paid tool, so you should check the price and details yourself before you actually send any payment.
