boikot is a community project that collects notes on the ethical and unethical things companies do. This MCP server connects your AI to that collection, so you can just ask about a company by name. It is handy if you want a quick, source-backed picture before you buy, invest, or write something.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already learned. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI one new skill, and here that skill is looking things up in the boikot company ethics dataset. You add the server once, and from then on your AI can reach out to boikot.xyz when you ask about a company, instead of guessing.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI something like what does boikot say about a certain company. Your AI passes the company name to this helper, which is the boikot MCP server running at mcp.boikot.xyz. The helper looks the name up in the boikot dataset of company ethics records. It sends back what the community has recorded, including the comment and the source links behind it. Your AI then writes that up for you in the chat.

What you can do with it

  • Look up the ethics record for a company by name
  • See the community comment on a company's practices
  • Get the source links behind each claim
  • Check the tags attached to a company record
  • Compare what boikot has on two or more companies
  • Use the results as a starting point for your own research

Try asking your AI

  • “What does boikot say about Nestle?”
  • “Look up the ethics record for Shein and summarise it for me”
  • “Which sources does boikot list for Amazon?”
  • “Compare what boikot has on Coca-Cola and Pepsi”

What it gives back to you

You get a written answer in the chat, built from the boikot record for that company. That usually includes the comment text, the tags, and the numbered sources turned into links you can open. If the company is not in the dataset, you will just hear that nothing was found. Nothing is changed anywhere, it is a read-only lookup.
