SolidPing MCP server

by fclairamb · official

Lets your AI list and create website and server checks, and read incidents and results, in SolidPing.

SolidPing is a tool that watches your websites and servers and tells you when something goes down. This MCP server is the bridge that lets your AI assistant talk to SolidPing for you. It is handy if you already use SolidPing and want to ask your AI questions or make small changes without clicking around the dashboard.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to another app. This one connects your AI to SolidPing, so it can look up your checks, incidents and results, and do a few things there when you ask. You do not need to understand how it works under the hood. You just ask in normal words.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI something about your monitoring, like which checks are failing. The AI sends that request to this MCP server, which talks to your SolidPing account. SolidPing answers with the checks, incidents or results it has. The AI then reads that back to you in plain language. If you ask it to create a check or open a maintenance window, it can do that too.

What you can do with it

  • List all your uptime checks and their current status
  • Create a new check for a website or server
  • Read recent incidents and see what went wrong
  • Look up response times and check results
  • Manage maintenance windows so alerts stay quiet during planned work
  • View and update status pages

Try asking your AI

  • “Which of my checks are currently down?”
  • “Create an HTTP check for https://example.com every minute”
  • “Show me the incidents from the last 24 hours”
  • “Set up a maintenance window for tonight from 10pm to midnight”

What it gives back to you

You get answers in the chat, in normal sentences. For example, a list of checks with their status, or a summary of recent incidents and when they started. If you asked it to create something, it tells you what it made. It does not dump raw data on you unless you ask for details.

Before you start

What you need

  • A SolidPing account, either on the hosted service at solidping.io or your own self-hosted copy
  • The URL of your SolidPing instance and a way to log in (your normal account credentials)
  • An AI assistant that supports MCP servers, like the Claude desktop app

Good to know

It can create checks and change things like maintenance windows in your SolidPing account, so review what your AI is about to do before you confirm.

Install it with your AI

Add SolidPing MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed

You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.

Sign in to get the install prompt

Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check SolidPing MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,361 MCP servers here for you.
