Turn your notes or text into a finished slide deck, then export it as PDF, PowerPoint, or a shareable link.

Alai is an AI presentation maker. This MCP server connects your AI assistant to Alai, so you can ask for a slide deck in plain words and get real slides back. It is handy for anyone who has to build decks but does not want to fight with design tools.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to another service. This one connects your AI to Alai, the presentation maker. So when you ask for a deck, your AI can actually create it in Alai and hand you back a file or a link.

What this MCP server does

You tell your AI what the presentation should be about, in your own words. Your AI sends that to Alai through this helper. Alai builds the slides, picks a theme, and can add speaker notes. Then it can give you a PDF, a PowerPoint file, or a link you can share. You can also ask for changes later, like adding a slide or restyling the deck.

What you can do with it

  • Turn notes or a block of text into a full slide deck
  • Pick a theme and a visual style for your slides
  • Add or remove slides in a deck you already made
  • Edit text, icons, or images on existing slides
  • Generate speaker notes for each slide
  • Export your deck as PDF, PowerPoint, or a shareable link
  • List all your presentations and delete ones you no longer need

Try asking your AI

  • “Make me a 5 slide deck about the benefits of AI in the workplace, with speaker notes.”
  • “Turn these meeting notes into a pitch deck and export it as a PDF.”
  • “Add a slide about pricing to my last presentation and restyle it with a dark theme.”
  • “Show me all my presentations and give me a shareable link for the newest one.”

What it gives back to you

You get back a finished presentation, plus a link, a PDF file, or a PowerPoint file depending on what you asked for. Your AI can also show you a list of your presentations, the themes and styles available, and the status while a deck is being built. If you asked for speaker notes, those come back too. Any changes you request show up in the updated deck.

Before you start

What you need

  • An Alai account (you can sign up at getalai.com)
  • An API key from Alai, which is a kind of password for apps and is free to create on their site
  • An AI app that supports MCP servers, like Claude Desktop or Cursor

Good to know

It can permanently delete your presentations and slides, so be careful when you ask it to remove things, and remember that building decks uses your Alai account credits.

Install it with your AI

Add Alai MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed

You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.

Sign in to get the install prompt

Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check Alai MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
