HeadHunter (hh.ru) MCP server
by ilyautov
Lets your AI search hh.ru vacancies, check applications and salary stats, and draft replies for you.

This is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to hh.ru, the big Russian job site. Once it is set up, you can ask your AI in normal words to look up vacancies, check your applications, or pull salary numbers. It is handy if you hire people, look for a job, or keep an eye on the job market.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to hh.ru, so it can look things up there or do things for you when you ask. You do not need to know how it works inside; you just talk to your AI like usual.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something in plain words, like find vacancies for a designer in Moscow. The AI uses this helper to reach hh.ru and look through the available actions. The helper talks to hh.ru using your own account and brings back the answer. For anything that changes or deletes data, it asks you to confirm first. Then you see the result right in the chat.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Search vacancies by keyword, region, role, or experience
- Pull your own vacancies and applications for a period into one list
- Check salary statistics for a role before posting a job
- Look at vacancies from other companies in your region
- Draft replies to candidates using a message template
- Read your resumes and saved searches
- Look up reference lists like regions, metro stations, and skills
Try asking your AI
- “Find designer vacancies in Moscow posted in the last week”
- “Show my applications from the past month as a table”
- “What is the average salary for a Python developer in Russia right now”
- “Draft a reply to these candidates using my template, but show me the list first”
What it gives back to you
You get answers in the chat: lists of vacancies with titles, companies, and links, or tables of your applications and their statuses. Salary questions come back as numbers and short summaries. When the AI changes something, it tells you what it did. You can always ask it to explain or show more detail.
Before you start
What you need
- A hh.ru account
- An access token from dev.hh.ru (a kind of password for apps; you create an app there and it gives you one)
- The name of your app and a contact email for the HH-User-Agent header, which hh.ru requires
- Python 3.10 or newer if you install it yourself
Good to know
Some actions can change or delete things on your hh.ru account, and a few cannot be undone, so read the confirmation before you say yes.
