Zamery Browser MCP server

by maemreyo

Let your AI work in the Firefox you already have open, using only the tabs you choose to share.

Zamery Browser is a helper that lets your AI assistant look at and click around inside the Firefox browser you already use every day. It does not open a separate, empty browser. It works with your normal Firefox, with all your logins still in place, but only on the tabs or tab groups you pick. It is handy if you want an AI to help with web pages without handing over your whole browser.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you. It cannot open a web page or click a button. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to something outside the chat. This one connects your AI to your own Firefox, so when you ask it to do something on a page, it can actually go and do it there for you.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI something about a web page, like reading it or clicking a link. Your AI passes that request to this helper. The helper talks to your running Firefox through a small companion add-on you install. It only touches the tabs or tab groups you have shared with it. Then it sends the result back, and your AI tells you what happened or shows you a screenshot.

What you can do with it

  • Share only the tabs or tab groups you choose with your AI
  • Ask your AI to read and summarize a page you have open
  • Let your AI click links, fill fields, or scroll on a shared tab
  • Take a screenshot of a shared tab
  • See a list of which browser tabs are currently shared
  • Take back control at any time, and let the AI only ask to resume
  • Set a sharing time limit, from this session up to 30 days

Try asking your AI

  • “Look at the tab I shared and tell me what this page is about”
  • “On the shared tab, click the Sign in button and tell me what happens”
  • “Take a screenshot of the shared tab so I can see it”
  • “Summarize the article in the tab group I shared with you”

What it gives back to you

You get answers in the chat, like a short summary of a page or a description of what changed after a click. Your AI can also show you a screenshot of the shared tab. It can tell you which tabs are shared and whether an action finished, partly finished, or did not start. It does not hand over your passwords or private browser data.

Before you start

What you need

  • The Firefox browser you normally use
  • The Zamery Browser Companion add-on for Firefox (installed from the official Firefox add-ons site)
  • Node.js version 22.19.0 or newer, but below 25
  • A local AI host that supports MCP servers, like Codex

Good to know

The AI can click and type on any tab you share with it, so only share tabs you are comfortable letting it change, and take back control when you are done.

Install it with your AI

Add Zamery Browser MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed

You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
