This is a helper that lets your AI handle HVAC equipment quote requests for you. You tell it what you need, like a 3-ton AC unit for a job in Florida, and it sends the request out to distributors and keeps track of the replies. It is handy if you are a contractor or office worker who spends time emailing suppliers and comparing prices by hand.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to HVAC equipment distributors, so it can send quote requests and collect the answers for you. You just ask in plain words, and the helper does the back and forth.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI for quotes on some equipment, for example a furnace or a heat pump, and where it needs to go. The AI passes that to this helper, which sends a request for quote to matching distributors. The distributors would normally reply by email over a day or two, and the helper keeps track of each request with an ID. Later you can ask your AI to check the status, pull the quotes, and compare them. By default it runs in a test mode, so you can try the whole flow without sending real emails.

Good to know

By default it runs in test mode and does not send real emails, but once you switch that off it will email real distributors, so check the details before you send.
