Zornade MCP server

by zornade

Ask your AI about Italian addresses and cadastral parcels: risk, value, solar potential and more.

Flow diagram: you ask your AI “Is the parcel at via del Corso 1, Roma at risk of flooding?”, the Zornade MCP server connects it to Zornade, and you get back A short answer in the chat.

Zornade is a helper that lets your AI answer questions about Italian properties. You can ask about an address, a cadastral parcel, or an area, and get back facts like flood risk, average prices, and solar potential. It is handy if you work with Italian real estate, insurance, or land and want quick answers without opening five different websites.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to Zornade, which holds Italian cadastral, geospatial and real estate data. So when you ask a question about an Italian property, your AI can look it up there and bring the answer back to you.

What this MCP server does

You type a question in plain words, like asking about an address or a parcel. Your AI sends that question to this helper, which talks to the Zornade service. Zornade looks up the address or parcel in its data and sends back the details. Your AI then shows you a short, tidy answer in the chat, with things like the municipality, risk levels, and average prices.

What you can do with it

  • Find an Italian address and turn it into coordinates
  • Turn coordinates back into a street address
  • Look up a cadastral parcel and see its risk, value and solar details
  • Find parcels near a point or inside an area you describe
  • Search parcels by town, map sheet or label
  • List Italian regions, provinces and municipalities

Try asking your AI

  • “Is the parcel at via del Corso 1, Roma at risk of flooding, and what is it worth?”
  • “What is the average residential price per square metre near this address in Milano?”
  • “Find the cadastral parcels inside this area and tell me their seismic zone”
  • “What is the solar potential for the parcel at this address in Firenze?”

What it gives back to you

You get a short answer in the chat, often with a small table or list of facts. For a parcel, that can include the town and province, the cadastral sheet, seismic zone, flood and landslide levels, ground movement, average price per square metre, and solar potential. For an address search, you get matching addresses with their coordinates. The replies are text only, so maps and shapes are left out to keep things light.

Before you start

What you need

  • A free Zornade API key (a kind of password for apps; you get one at app.zornade.com/api)
  • An MCP client that can connect to a web address, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code Copilot or Cline

Good to know

Your questions and the addresses or parcels you look up are sent to the Zornade service, and you need your own API key, which has its own request limits.
