Flow diagram: you ask your AI “What are the latest Bitcoin news articles?”, the Cryptopolitan MCP server connects it to Cryptopolitan, and you get back A roundup of crypto news.

This is a connector that lets your AI assistant read articles from Cryptopolitan, a crypto news site, while you chat with it. It is handy if you follow Bitcoin, Ethereum or other coins and want news and analysis without opening a dozen tabs. You do not need to install anything, because the service runs online.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already learned. An MCP server is a small helper that gives your AI one extra skill, in this case a direct line to Cryptopolitan's article library. When you ask about crypto news, your AI passes the question to this helper, the helper fetches matching articles from Cryptopolitan, and your AI reads them back to you. It is like giving your assistant a subscription to a news site and the ability to look things up on demand.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI something about crypto news, like the latest Bitcoin stories. Your AI sends that request to this helper, which talks to Cryptopolitan's servers. The helper looks through their articles and picks the ones that match your topic, coin or time window. It sends the titles, summaries and links back to your AI. Your AI then shows you a tidy answer in the chat, with the source noted.

What you can do with it

  • Pull the latest crypto news articles by category
  • Search articles by keyword across all Cryptopolitan content
  • Filter news by coin ticker such as BTC, ETH or SOL
  • Limit results to the last 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days
  • List all available news categories with article counts
  • Fetch a full article by its web address or short name

Try asking your AI

  • “What are the latest Bitcoin news articles?”
  • “Search for articles about Ethereum DeFi from the past week”
  • “Get the full article from cryptopolitan.com/sui-price-prediction/”
  • “List all available news categories”

What it gives back to you

You get back a list of articles, each with a title, link, author, publish date and a short summary. If you ask for a specific article, you get its details and body text. Your AI usually turns this into a short roundup in the chat, with the source noted as Cryptopolitan. Some responses also include which coins each article mentions.
