AgentSearch MCP server

by agentsearchhq-coder

Let your AI search the web, pull pages into clean text, and read JavaScript-heavy sites, paying a tiny amount per use.

AgentSearch is a helper that plugs into your AI app and gives it a few web skills: searching the web, turning a web page into clean text, and opening pages that need JavaScript to load. It is handy if you use ChatGPT or Claude style tools and want them to actually look things up online instead of guessing. You can start for free with a small daily search limit, and pay a few cents only when you need the heavier tools.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with what it already knows. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to another service, here to AgentSearch and the wider web. Once it is connected, your AI can ask this helper to search the web or read a page, and then answer you using what it found. You do not run the searches yourself; you just ask your AI and it does the rest.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI something that needs the web, like finding recent news or reading a specific page. Your AI sends that request to this helper, which talks to AgentSearch's search or page-reading service. AgentSearch fetches the results or the page content and sends it back. Your AI then turns that into a normal answer for you in the chat. For pages that load with JavaScript, the helper can open them in a real browser behind the scenes so you get the content that a simple fetch would miss.

What you can do with it

  • Search the web and get up to 5 results per query
  • Turn a web page into clean Markdown or plain text
  • Read pages that need JavaScript, like many modern sites
  • Grab the title, links, and meta info from a page
  • Take a screenshot of a rendered page
  • Check which paid web services are working before you pick one
  • Leave a short review after you use a service

Try asking your AI

  • “Search the web for the latest news about electric cars and summarize the top results”
  • “Turn this article into clean text so I can read it without ads: https://example.com/article”
  • “This page looks empty when I open it, can you render it and tell me what it says”
  • “Look up which search services are working right now for extracting page content”

What it gives back to you

You get back whatever your AI decides to show you: a short summary, a list of search results, or the text of a page. Behind the scenes the helper returns structured data with the title, the content, and links, plus payment details when you are in paid mode. In the chat it usually looks like a normal answer, sometimes with a few links or bullet points. If something failed, your AI can tell you what went wrong and whether trying again might help.

Before you start

What you need

  • Node.js 20 or newer installed on your computer
  • An MCP-compatible app like Claude Desktop, Cursor, or Claude Code
  • For paid tools: a new wallet holding a little USDC on Base (about $1 is plenty)
  • For free search only: nothing else, it works right away with a daily limit

Good to know

The paid tools spend real money from your wallet, so use a new wallet with only a small amount in it and keep the session spend cap low.

Install it with your AI

Add AgentSearch MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed

You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.

Sign in to get the install prompt

Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check AgentSearch MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,609 MCP servers here for you.
