PDF Tools MCP server

This is a helper that gives your AI the ability to work with PDF files. You can ask it to read a PDF, pull out the text, or combine pages, and it does the fiddly clicking for you. It is handy if you deal with reports, contracts, or scanned documents and want quick answers without opening a PDF reader.

What this MCP server does

You tell your AI what you want, for example to read a PDF or combine two documents. The AI passes that request to this helper. The helper opens the PDF, does the work, and sends the result back. Then the AI shows you the answer in the chat, like the text it found or a note that the files were combined.

What it gives back to you

You get back plain answers in the chat, like the text from a PDF or a short summary of what is inside. It can also show a page as a picture so you can look at it. When it makes a new file, like a merged PDF, it tells you it is done and where the file is.
