Turn any web page into clean text your AI can read, and let it search and crawl the web for you.

anybrowse is a helper that lets your AI open web pages and read them properly. Instead of you copying and pasting articles, your AI fetches the page itself and gets back tidy text it can work with. It is handy for anyone who spends time pulling information off websites.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already knows. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to another service. This one connects your AI to anybrowse, a web reading service. Once it is connected, your AI can ask anybrowse to open a page or run a search, and the results come back into your chat.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI something that needs a web page, like a summary of an article or the latest news on a topic. Your AI sends that request to the anybrowse helper. The helper opens the page in a real Chrome browser, waits for everything to load, and turns the page into clean text. That text comes back to your AI, which then answers you. You never have to leave the chat or copy anything yourself.

What you can do with it

  • Turn any web page into clean text your AI can read and summarise
  • Search Google and get back the top results with titles, links and short descriptions
  • Search Google and read the top pages in one go
  • Read pages that load their content with JavaScript, which many simple tools cannot
  • Read PDF files that are linked on a web page
  • Pull information from sites that usually block automated readers

Try asking your AI

  • “Summarise this article for me: https://example.com/some-article”
  • “Search the web for the latest news about electric cars and give me the top five results”
  • “Find recent articles about remote work and summarise the main points from the top three”
  • “Read this government page and tell me what the new rules say”

What it gives back to you

You get back plain text in your chat. For a single page, that is the page title and the full content as tidy text. For a search, you get a list of results with titles, links and short descriptions. For a search and read, you get the content of the top pages, ready for your AI to summarise or answer questions about.

Before you start

What you need

  • An AI app that supports MCP servers, like Claude Desktop, Cline or Cursor
  • Nothing else to start: the free tier works without an account or key

Good to know

The free tier allows only 10 calls per day without an account, so heavy use will hit the limit quickly.

Install it with your AI

Add anybrowse MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed

You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.

Sign in to get the install prompt

Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check anybrowse MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
