NerdyChefs prompt library
by mayeu20
Let your AI search the free NerdyChefs.ai prompt library, open prompt packs, or pick a random prompt for you.

This is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to the free prompt library at NerdyChefs.ai. Once it is set up, you can ask your AI to find a prompt for a task, open a whole pack of prompts, or surprise you with a random one. It is handy if you like collecting ready-made prompts but do not want to dig through a website by hand.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already knows. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI one extra skill or one extra connection. This helper connects your AI to the prompt library at NerdyChefs.ai, so when you ask for a prompt about, say, writing a project update, your AI can go look it up there and bring it back to you.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something like find me a prompt for writing a weekly report. Your AI passes that request to this helper. The helper downloads the public prompt list from NerdyChefs.ai and searches it on your own computer. Then your AI shows you the matching prompts, with short summaries and links. If you want the full text of one prompt, you just ask for it and the AI fetches that too.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Search the prompt library by keyword, category, persona, or tag
- Open a single prompt and read its full text
- Get a random prompt when you want inspiration
- Browse prompt packs and see what is inside each one
- List all categories, personas, and tags with their counts
- Filter results by things like job role or topic
Try asking your AI
- “Find me prompts about writing performance reviews”
- “Show me the pack on marketing and list the prompts inside it”
- “Give me a random prompt for a project manager”
- “What categories and tags are available in the NerdyChefs library”
What it gives back to you
You get back a list of prompts with short summaries and links, or the full text of one prompt if you asked for it. You can also get a list of packs, categories, personas, or tags with counts. Everything appears right in your chat as normal text, so you can read it, copy it, or ask follow-up questions.
Before you start
What you need
- The Claude desktop app, Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex CLI
- Node.js 20 or newer installed on your computer
Good to know
Two small traps: filter by the category name exactly as shown (like Engineering & DevOps, not engineering-devops), and only use prompt ids that came from this same chat session, because an id saved from the website or from last week can point to a different prompt.
