aimemo memory server
by MyAgentHubs
Give your AI a long-term memory for your project, so it remembers past work between sessions.

aimemo is a small helper program that gives your AI a memory for a project. It saves notes about what you did, what decisions you made, and what is still open, then brings them back the next time you open the project. It is handy for anyone who works on the same project over many days and is tired of repeating themselves.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat. It forgets everything as soon as you close the window. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection. This one, aimemo, gives your AI a memory for your project folder, so it can look up what happened before and write down what happens now.
What this MCP server does
You open your AI in a project folder and start talking. The AI quietly asks aimemo for the recent notes about this project and reads them before answering. As you work, the AI writes short notes back into aimemo, like a decision you made or a task that is still open. The next time you come back, the AI reads those notes again and picks up where you left off. Everything is saved in a small file inside your project folder, so it travels with the project.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Remember what you worked on last time you opened the project
- Save decisions, facts, and open tasks as short notes
- Search all past notes by keyword when the AI needs to recall something
- Link related notes together, like a bug and its fix
- Remove a note when it is no longer true
- Read and edit the same notes yourself from the terminal
- Export all notes to Markdown or JSON files
Try asking your AI
- “Let's keep working on the payment service”
- “What did we decide about the login flow last week?”
- “Save a note that we switched to Postgres for the reports”
- “Search my notes for anything about the refund bug”
What it gives back to you
You get answers that already know your project history. The AI may show you a short list of past notes at the start of a session, like what was finished, what is in progress, and what is blocked. When it saves something, it writes a short note you can see. You can also read the same notes yourself from the terminal as plain text or JSON.
Before you start
What you need
- A Mac or Linux computer (the install script covers these)
- The Claude Code app or another AI coding tool that supports MCP
- A project folder on your computer
Good to know
The AI can write, change, and remove notes in your project memory, so it is worth reading what it saves and telling it not to store passwords or private details.
Install it with your AI
Add aimemo memory server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check aimemo memory server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
Developers and anyone who works on the same project across many days and wants their AI to remember the history.
