CRBRO Memory MCP server
by Octonove
Give your AI a lasting memory of your projects, facts, and past mistakes, stored in files on your own computer.

CRBRO is a helper that gives your AI assistant a long-term memory. Normally your AI forgets everything when you close the chat. With CRBRO connected, it can remember facts, decisions, and past errors across sessions, and look them up when you ask. It is handy if you work on the same projects over many days and are tired of repeating yourself.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with what is in front of it. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to something else. This one connects your AI to a memory store kept in simple files on your computer. So when you ask about something from last week, the AI can look it up in that store instead of guessing.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI a question or tell it something worth remembering. The AI uses this helper to save that fact, or to search the memory store for related notes. The helper keeps everything in plain files in a folder on your computer, organised by topic. It then hands the AI the matching lines, with dates and a confidence label. You see the answer in the chat, based on what was actually stored.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Save facts, decisions, and preferences so your AI remembers them next time
- Search your saved notes by meaning, not just exact words
- Record past mistakes together with their fix, so they are not repeated
- Note ideas you deliberately decided not to build, with the reason
- Correct or retire an old fact when it is no longer true
- Keep secrets like passwords out of the saved files
- Share one project's memory with teammates through Git
Try asking your AI
- “Remember that our staging server runs on Hetzner and the deploy command is firebase deploy”
- “What did we decide about the login flow last month?”
- “Have I hit this database error before, and how did I fix it?”
- “Forget the old API endpoint, we moved to the new one”
What it gives back to you
You get back a short list of matching notes, each with the exact line that matched, the date it was saved, and a confidence label. For the best matches, you also see the topic's next best lines. If nothing matches well, the answer says so instead of making something up. When you save or correct something, you get a short confirmation of what changed.
Before you start
What you need
- Node.js installed on your computer
- An MCP-compatible app such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, or Windsurf
- About 500 MB of free disk space if you want the optional meaning-based search
Good to know
It can change or remove things you saved, and it reads files in your own memory folder, so review what you ask it to forget or revise.
Install it with your AI
Add CRBRO Memory MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check CRBRO Memory MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
People who work on the same projects over many days and want their AI to stop forgetting what was already decided.
