Emulo MCP server

by ohad6k

Lets your AI read a profile built from your own past coding sessions so it works more like you.

Emulo is a tool that reads the messages you typed to your coding agents in the past and turns them into a personal profile file called you.md. That profile lists the rules you never wrote down, like what you mean by done or what you reject right away. This MCP server is the piece that lets your AI read that profile while you work.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with what you paste in front of it. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to something else. This one connects your AI to your Emulo profile, so it can look up your own working rules and habits when a task starts. You ask for something, and the AI can check your profile before answering.

What this MCP server does

You run Emulo first to mine your session logs and write a you.md profile. Then this MCP server makes that profile available to your AI. When you ask your AI to do something, it can read the profile and see your rules, your preferences, and the way you like to work. You get answers that follow your own habits instead of generic ones. The profile stays on your machine.

What you can do with it

  • Read your mined you.md profile during a task
  • Follow your own rules for what counts as done
  • Match your writing and design preferences
  • Use the work, design, writing, or video layer that fits the task
  • Check the dated quotes behind each rule
  • Keep your profile local and private

Try asking your AI

  • “Check my Emulo profile and help me finish this feature the way I like”
  • “Use my work profile rules to review this code change”
  • “Look at my design profile and suggest a layout for this page”
  • “Read my writing profile and rewrite this paragraph in my style”

What it gives back to you

It gives your AI your profile content: the rules, the preferences, and the dated quotes from your own messages that back each one. In the chat you see answers that reflect those rules, and you can ask which rule or quote was used. The profile itself is a file on your machine, so nothing is sent anywhere unless you point mining at a hosted model.

Before you start

What you need

  • Python installed, or Node.js if you use the npx route
  • Your past coding agent session logs on this machine
  • A profile you.md that you mined with Emulo first

Good to know

Your profile contains verbatim quotes from your own sessions, so keep the file private and out of shared or committed folders.

Install it with your AI

Add Emulo MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed

You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
