Medical Terminologies MCP server
Look up real medical codes and terms from ICD-11, LOINC, RxNorm, MeSH, ATC and Brazil's CID-10 right inside your AI chat.

This is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to big medical dictionaries used around the world, such as ICD-11, LOINC, RxNorm, MeSH, ATC and Brazil's CID-10. It means instead of guessing a code, your AI goes and checks the real thing. Handy if you handle health data, write reports, teach, or just keep looking up diagnosis and medicine codes during the day.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only talk based on what it learned while being trained. An MCP server is a little companion program that gives it a brand-new ability, sort of plugging a cable into another system. Here, that extra ability is talking to medical terminology databases, so your AI can fetch correct codes, meanings and links straight from the source. You still just type questions in normal words.
What this MCP server does
When you ask something like "what's the ICD-11 code for type 2 diabetes", your message reaches the AI along with this helper running quietly behind it. The AI picks the matching tool, sends your question off to the proper database, waits for the reply, then writes the result out for you in the chat window. For some queries it asks more than one dictionary at once and shows each answer separately. Nothing gets invented because everything comes from the original organisations' servers.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Find disease codes in ICD-11 and understand how categories relate
- Search laboratory test identifiers in LOINC
- Translate common medicines into standardized RxNorm concepts
- Browse biomedical topics indexed in MeSH
- Check the anatomical-therapeutic class of a substance in ATC
- Query Brazilian CID-10 entries in Portuguese
Try asking your AI
- “What's the ICD-11 code for type 2 diabetes?”
- “Which LOINC number identifies a blood glucose measurement?”
- “Give me the definition of hypertension according to MeSH”
- “Show me the child categories under chapter five of ICD-11”
What it gives back to you
Most replies arrive as neat lists or paragraphs pasted right into your conversation. Each item usually includes the formal identifier, sometimes a preferred label, synonyms and possibly related items. When two systems disagree, both versions appear next to each other rather than merged silently. Occasionally you also receive direct hyperlinks leading to the publisher's website for further reading.
