SrezAI search MCP server

by srezai-team · official

Lets your AI search the live web, read pages as clean text, take screenshots, and run deep research.

Flow diagram: you ask your AI “Find recent news about electric cars in Russia”, the SrezAI search MCP server connects it to SrezAI, and you get back your answer in the chat.

This is a helper from SrezAI that gives your AI a real connection to the web. It searches the internet, opens pages, and reads them back to your AI in plain text. It is handy if you use ChatGPT or Claude for research and want answers based on actual current pages, not just what the AI already remembers.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already learned. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an outside service. This one connects your AI to SrezAI, a search service. Once connected, your AI can look things up on the live web and bring real pages back into the conversation when you ask.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI a question that needs current information. Your AI passes the request to this helper, which talks to the SrezAI service. SrezAI searches the web, opens the pages it finds, and turns them into clean text. It sends the results back to your AI, and your AI writes the answer for you in the chat. You never leave the conversation or copy links around by hand.

What you can do with it

  • Search the live web and get titles, links, and short snippets
  • Find images with direct links, source, and resolution
  • Read any web page and get it back as clean Markdown text
  • Read up to five pages in one go
  • Take a browser-rendered screenshot of a page
  • Pull only the fields you want from pages using your own list
  • Check whether a claim is supported or refuted, with quotes
  • Run a multi-step research task across many sources

Try asking your AI

  • “Search the web for recent news about electric cars in Russia and summarize the top results”
  • “Read this page and give me the main points in plain English: https://example.com/article”
  • “Find images of the Hermitage in Saint Petersburg with their source links”
  • “Check whether it is true that this company was founded in 2010, and show me the sources”

What it gives back to you

You get answers written by your AI, built from real pages it just read. Depending on what you asked, that can be a list of links, a summary, a table of extracted fields, a screenshot, or a verdict with quotes. For long research tasks, you get a ticket first and the finished answer when it is ready. Your AI shows all of this right in the chat.

Before you start

What you need

  • A SrezAI account and an API key from your SrezAI dashboard (a kind of password for apps)
  • Node.js 18 or newer if you install the package version
  • A client that can talk to remote servers over HTTP, or the package if yours only works locally

Good to know

This service is paid per use (1 credit equals 0.10 rubles), so heavy searching or deep research will spend your balance, though failed calls that return nothing are not charged.
