Biel.ai MCP server

by TechDocsStudio

Lets your AI answer questions using your own product documentation through Biel.ai.

This is a small connector that lets your AI read your company's product documentation. Once it is set up, you can ask your AI about your product and it will look the answer up in your docs instead of guessing. It is handy for support teams, writers, and anyone who keeps answering the same questions about how a product works.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with what it already knows. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to Biel.ai, a service that stores and searches your product documentation. So when you ask a question, your AI can look it up in your own docs and answer from there.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI a question about your product, like what the auth headers are for an endpoint. Your AI passes that question to this helper. The helper talks to Biel.ai, which searches your documentation and knowledge base for the best matching passages. Biel.ai sends the relevant text back, and your AI turns it into a clear answer in the chat. You get an answer grounded in your real docs, not a guess.

What you can do with it

  • Look up details in your product documentation
  • Answer technical questions using your own docs
  • Find API details like headers, endpoints, and parameters
  • Get context-aware suggestions while you work in your editor
  • Check how a feature is described in your knowledge base
  • Pull short passages from your docs into the chat

Try asking your AI

  • “Can you check in biel_ai what the auth headers are for the /users endpoint?”
  • “Look in biel_ai and tell me how our billing webhooks work.”
  • “Using biel_ai, what does our docs say about rate limits?”
  • “Check biel_ai for the steps to set up a new workspace.”

What it gives back to you

You get an answer in the chat, written in plain words and based on your documentation. It often includes short quotes or passages from your docs so you can see where the answer came from. If nothing matches, your AI will usually say it could not find it in your docs.

Before you start

What you need

  • A Biel.ai account and a project set up there (a free 15-day trial is available)
  • Your project slug and your docs domain from Biel.ai
  • An API key from Biel.ai only if your project is private
  • An AI tool that supports MCP, like Cursor, VS Code, or Claude Desktop

Good to know

It reads your product documentation, so if your docs contain private or internal details, anyone using the connected AI tool may see them.

Install it with your AI

Add Biel.ai MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed

You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.

Sign in to get the install prompt

Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check Biel.ai MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
