This is a small helper that connects your AI to a library of AI compliance knowledge. It covers rules like the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, GDPR, APRA and many more. It is handy if you work with AI in a regulated company and need quick, structured answers instead of endless searching.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already learned. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to a service. This one connects your AI to a compliance knowledge base about AI rules and standards. So when you ask a question, the AI can look things up there and answer you with real content instead of guessing.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI a question, for example which control applies to your AI system or how a rule maps to another framework. The AI sends that question to this helper. The helper looks it up in its built-in dataset of controls, regulations, anti-patterns and playbooks. Then it sends the matching information back to your AI. Your AI shows you the answer in the chat, often as a list or a short summary.

What you can do with it

  • Look up a specific control by regulation and topic
  • Classify an AI use case against the EU AI Act
  • Crosswalk one framework to another, like NIST AI RMF to ISO 42001
  • Read named anti-patterns (common ways AI compliance projects fail)
  • Walk through a 12-week playbook for a regulation
  • List all the regulations the dataset covers

Try asking your AI

  • “Which EU AI Act articles apply to a hiring tool that screens CVs?”
  • “Show me the crosswalk between NIST AI RMF and ISO 42001.”
  • “What is the anti-pattern called 'compliance theatre' and how do I avoid it?”
  • “Walk me through week 3 of the EU AI Act 12-week playbook.”

What it gives back to you

You get back plain answers in the chat: lists of controls, short explanations, crosswalk tables, playbook steps or anti-pattern descriptions. Sometimes it returns a structured summary you can copy into a document. It does not change anything in your systems, it only reads and reports.
