ai·rete·rag MCP server
Let your AI make rule-based decisions and explain them using your own policy documents.

This is a helper that connects your AI to ai·rete·rag, an online service that makes decisions using fixed rules instead of guesses. You give it facts, like a loan application, and it returns a clear verdict plus a plain-English reason. It is handy for anyone who has to apply written policies fairly and consistently, such as loan officers, fraud reviewers, or compliance teams.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to another service. This one connects your AI to ai·rete·rag, so when you ask it to decide something, it can send the facts to the rule engine and bring the answer back. The engine makes the call, and the AI explains it using your policy documents.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI a question, like whether a loan should be approved. Your AI passes the facts to this helper, which sends them to the ai·rete·rag rule engine. The engine checks the facts against the rules for that area and produces a verdict. Then the AI writes back a short explanation that cites the policy text behind the decision.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Make a decision in a chosen area using facts you provide
- See the rules in an area, including their conditions and verdicts
- Download a rule set as editable YAML text
- Turn a written policy document into draft rules
- Save or replace a rule set after reviewing it
- Add policy text to an area's knowledge base
- Check your plan and how many decisions you have left
Try asking your AI
- “Use ai·rete·rag to decide whether this loan application should be approved: credit score 645, annual income $52k, requested amount $30k.”
- “Show me the rules in the fraud domain and where they overlap.”
- “Turn this policy document into draft rules and show me the sentence each one comes from.”
- “How many decisions do I have left this month?”
What it gives back to you
You get back a verdict, such as approved or denied, along with a short explanation in plain English that points to the policy text behind it. You can also get lists of rules or documents, draft rules as YAML text, or a count of your remaining decisions. Everything appears right in your chat window.
