Dates by Agenda Hero

About Dates by Agenda Hero

Dates is a calendar application launched by Agenda Hero designed for creating and sharing collective schedules. It targets groups such as families, school communities, and teams who currently manage shared plans through static documents like PDFs or spreadsheets.

Review

The tool addresses the friction of maintaining synchronized group calendars by allowing users to build a plan and distribute it to multiple recipients. It functions by converting text, images, or PDF inputs into calendar events using the underlying Agenda Hero Magic technology.

Key Features

• Agenda Hero Magic: Converts any text, image, or PDF document into calendar events within seconds.
• Calendar Integration: Imports external schedules from Google, TeamSnap, ParentSquare, and ICS feeds.
• Flexible Distribution: Sends the finalized plan back to individual calendars already in use by participants.
• Event Filtering: Allows users to hide specific items from imported feeds, such as irrelevant grade-level concerts.
• Multi-Format Output: Supports viewing on mobile devices and printing physical copies for locations like refrigerators.

Pricing and Value

The service offers a free option that allows users to create one or multiple plans at agendahero.com. A promotional discount of 20% off any paid plan was available at launch. Specific details regarding the cost structure of the paid tiers are not defined in the provided reference content.

Pros

• Reduces manual data entry by automating the conversion of existing documents into event schedules.
• Synchronizes changes across all connected personal calendars when the central plan is updated.
• Supports importing diverse calendar sources including TeamSnap and ParentSquare.

Cons

• Mobile customization features are currently limited compared to the desktop experience.
• The product is not well suited for individuals managing only private, non-shared personal schedules.
• Early-stage releases may contain rough edges and require bug reporting from users.

Dates by Agenda Hero is best utilized by organized groups, such as sports teams or parent associations, that need to distribute complex schedules without relying on email chains or static files. It serves users who frequently update shared itineraries and require those updates to reflect automatically on everyone's device.
