Waggle MCP server
Give your AI a long-term memory of your project so it remembers decisions and reasons between chats.

Waggle is a memory helper for your AI. It keeps the important parts of a project, like what you decided, why, and what changed, so your next chat can pick up where you left off. It is handy if you keep re-explaining the same project to your AI over and over.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat. It forgets everything when the conversation ends. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to something else. Waggle is that helper for memory: it runs on your own computer and stores your project knowledge in a small local database, so your AI can look things up and add new notes when you ask.
What this MCP server does
You tell your AI something worth remembering, like a decision or a preference. The AI passes that to Waggle, which saves it as a small note in a graph, meaning notes are linked to each other. Later, in a new chat, you ask what was decided, and the AI asks Waggle for the relevant notes. Waggle sends back the matching memories with their history, and the AI explains them to you in plain words. It can also flag when a new note contradicts an older one.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Remember project decisions and the reasons behind them
- Recall earlier context in a fresh chat without pasting it again
- Track preferences, requirements, and open questions
- Show what changed and what a note depends on
- Flag contradictions between old and new information
- Export and import your memory as a portable .abhi file
- Review and correct memories in a browser workspace
Try asking your AI
- “Remember that we chose Postgres for the database because the team already knows it.”
- “What did we decide about the login flow last week?”
- “Catch me up on this project: goals, decisions, and open questions.”
- “That earlier note about the deadline is wrong, it moved to June. Please update it.”
What it gives back to you
You get back short summaries and lists of memories, each with a bit of context about where it came from and when it changed. For example, you might see the decision, the reason, and a note that it replaced an older one. You can also get a compact project brief covering goals, decisions, constraints, and open questions. When you correct something, you see the change confirmed and the old version kept in history.
Before you start
What you need
- Python 3.11 or newer
- pipx installed (a small tool for installing Python apps)
- An MCP client like Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, or VS Code
Good to know
Memories you save are shared with whichever AI service you are chatting with, so do not store secrets or private details you would not want that service to see.
Install it with your AI
Add Waggle MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check Waggle MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
Anyone who works on the same project across many chats and is tired of repeating context, especially writers, researchers, and small teams.
