Burn MCP server
by Fisher521
Let your AI search, sort and organize the links you saved in the Burn read-later app.

This is a helper that connects your AI assistant to Burn, a read-later app where saved links expire after 24 hours unless you read or keep them. Once connected, your AI can look through everything you have saved and help you decide what to keep. It is handy if you save a lot of articles and never get back to them.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app. This one connects your AI to Burn, so it can look up your saved bookmarks and move them around for you. You just ask in normal words, and the AI uses this helper behind the scenes.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something about your saved links, like what you kept about a topic. The AI uses this helper to talk to Burn and pull up your bookmarks. The helper can also read the full article behind a link and give you a summary. Then it can move a link to a different pile, for example keep it, burn it, or save it forever. You get the answer or the change right in your chat.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Search your saved bookmarks by keyword
- List what is about to expire in your inbox
- Read the full content of a saved article
- Keep a link, burn it, or promote it to permanent
- Sort up to 20 links at once
- Group bookmarks into topic collections
- Watch a blog or channel so new posts land in your inbox
Try asking your AI
- “What did I save about system design?”
- “Triage my inbox and keep anything about AI agents, burn the rest”
- “What is about to expire in the next 6 hours that I would regret losing?”
- “Create a collection called MCP in production from my saves and write an overview”
What it gives back to you
You get back lists of bookmarks, short summaries, and answers to your questions, all written in the chat. When it reads an article, it can give you the main points. When it moves or groups links, it tells you what it changed. It can also write a short overview back into a collection or a bookmark.
Before you start
What you need
- A free Burn account (5 saves a day, all tools included)
- An access token from Burn, found under Settings then MCP Server
- An AI app that supports MCP, like Claude, Cursor or Windsurf
Good to know
It can move your bookmarks between piles and write notes into your Burn account, so check what it changed before you rely on it.
Install it with your AI
Add Burn MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check Burn MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
People who save lots of articles to read later and want help sorting and finding them again.
