Guaardvark AI Studio server
by guaardvark
Lets your AI make images, video, music and voice on your own computer, and search your files.

Guaardvark is a self-hosted AI studio. It runs on your own computer and your own graphics card, and it can make images, video, music and voices, plus search through your documents. It is handy if you want to create media or work with your own files without sending anything to a cloud service.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to Guaardvark, which is a studio running on your own machine. Once it is connected, your AI can ask Guaardvark to generate a video, make a song, or look something up in your files, and then tell you the result.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI for something, like a short video or a picture. Your AI passes that request to the Guaardvark helper. Guaardvark queues the job on your own graphics card and starts working. When it is done, the helper sends the finished file or answer back. Your AI then shows it to you in the chat.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Generate images from a text description
- Create short videos from a prompt or a still image
- Make full songs with or without vocals
- Produce spoken audio with different voices
- Upscale photos and videos to higher resolution
- Search your own documents and notes for answers
- Run coding tasks and analyze code projects
Try asking your AI
- “Make a short video of a cat surfing on a wave”
- “Create a calm piano song about rain”
- “Find in my notes everything I wrote about the Smith project”
- “Upscale this photo to 4K”
What it gives back to you
You get back finished files, like images, videos, audio clips, or upscaled versions of your files. For searches, you get a summary with the relevant passages and where they came from. For coding tasks, you get explanations, suggestions, or changed files. Everything appears in your chat as a link or a preview you can open.
Before you start
What you need
- A computer with an NVIDIA graphics card (16 GB or more for video)
- Linux (or macOS with limited features)
- The Guaardvark studio installed and running
Good to know
This server can create and change files, and it uses your graphics card heavily, so make sure you have backups and enough cooling.
