Huly MCP server
Let your AI read and update your Huly projects, tasks, labels and priorities for you.

This is a helper that connects your AI assistant to Huly, the app where your team tracks projects and tasks. Once it is set up, you can just ask your AI about your Huly work in plain words instead of clicking around. It is handy if you live in Huly all day and want quick answers or quick changes.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat. It cannot see your Huly projects or touch them. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill, here a connection to Huly. So when you ask about a task, the AI passes the request to this helper, and the helper talks to Huly for you.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something about your Huly work, like which tasks are open or what a project contains. The AI sends that request to this helper program running quietly in the background. The helper logs in to your Huly account using details you set up once, then asks Huly for the information or makes the change. Huly answers, and the helper hands the result back to your AI. Your AI then shows it to you in the chat as a list, a summary, or a confirmation.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Look up issues and tasks in your Huly projects
- Create new tasks with a title, description and assignee
- Update existing tasks, like changing status or priority
- Add or change labels on tasks
- Search across your Huly workspace for specific items
- List projects and see what is in them
Try asking your AI
- “Show me all open tasks in the Website project”
- “Create a task called Fix login bug in the Mobile project, high priority”
- “What is the status of the task about the pricing page?”
- “Add the label urgent to every task assigned to me this week”
What it gives back to you
You get answers in the chat, usually as a short list or a summary. For example, a list of task titles with their status and who they are assigned to. If you asked it to change something, you get a short confirmation that it was done. It does not dump raw data on you, it explains things in normal words.
Before you start
What you need
- A Huly account with access to the workspace you want to use
- A Huly API token (a kind of password for apps, you create it in your Huly account settings)
- The web address of your Huly instance and your workspace name
- Node.js version 22.19.0 or newer installed on your computer
Good to know
This helper can change and create things in your Huly workspace, so it is best to use a dedicated account with only the access it really needs.
