Facthouse MCP server

Give your AI a personal memory saved in a file on your computer.

Facthouse is a memory helper for AI assistants. It listens to your chats and saves useful facts into one simple file sitting on your own machine. Then, in future conversations, your AI can recall those facts instead of forgetting everything. It suits anyone tired of repeating themselves to ChatGPT, Claude, or similar tools.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only talk based on whatever is inside the current conversation. Think of an MCP server as a little sidekick program living between your AI and some real thing such as a folder, a website, or in this case a memory file. Here, Facthouse plays that role: it collects what happens during sessions, pulls out solid facts, and keeps them tidy so they stick around after the chat closes. Your AI reaches for this sidekick whenever someone asks "do I know anything about this?"

What this MCP server does

When you say something meaningful in a normal chat, Facthouse quietly notes it down. Behind the scenes it sorts raw chatter into clear statements, groups related ideas together, spots repeats and disagreements, and marks old versions as outdated. Later, when you bring up a topic again, your AI checks the memory file and hands back the matching pieces. You don't issue secret commands; stating something durable in regular conversation is enough.

What you can do with it

  • Remember details you tell your AI today and repeat them tomorrow
  • Look up everything tied to a specific person, company, or project
  • Search past conversations for particular topics or phrases
  • Get a quick summary of what matters at the beginning of a new chat
  • See totals like number of remembered facts and tracked subjects

Try asking your AI

  • “What did we decide about the vendor contract deadline?”
  • “Tell me everything you know about Acme Corp.”
  • “Remind me what my manager prefers for weekly updates.”
  • “Who else works on Project Falcon?”

What it gives back to you

Your AI replies straight away using what sits in the memory file. Sometimes that shows up as a short paragraph answering your question, sometimes as a list of related items grouped by theme. For bigger questions you might also receive counts, dates, or connections drawn between entries. Nothing appears magically changed elsewhere; the answer arrives right in the chat box.

Before you start

What you need

  • Node.js version 22.5 or higher installed on your computer
  • One supported AI coding-style assistant such as Claude Code or Cursor whose logs sit locally
  • Optionally, a large-language-model access point for smart extracting; otherwise basic storing still works

Install it with your AI

Add Facthouse MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed

You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.

Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check Facthouse MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
