Raindrop.io MCP server
Lets your AI save, search, and filter your Raindrop.io bookmarks for you.

This is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to Raindrop.io, the app where you keep your saved links. Once it is set up, you can ask your AI to save a page or find a bookmark you saved months ago. It is handy if you collect a lot of links and never remember where you put them.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app. This one connects your AI to your Raindrop.io account, so it can look things up or add things there when you ask. You stay in the chat, and the helper does the clicking in the background.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something about your bookmarks, like saving a link or finding one. The AI passes your request to this helper program. The helper then talks to Raindrop.io using your account. Raindrop.io sends back the answer, and the helper hands it to your AI, which tells you the result in plain words.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Save a new link to your Raindrop.io account
- Give a saved bookmark a title and tags
- Search your bookmarks by keyword
- Filter your bookmarks by tag
- Put a new bookmark into a specific collection
- Find a link you saved a while ago without opening Raindrop.io
Try asking your AI
- “Save this page to my Raindrop bookmarks: https://example.com/article”
- “Find my bookmarks about sourdough recipes”
- “Show me everything I saved with the tag travel”
- “Add this link to my Reading collection with the tags work and research”
What it gives back to you
You get answers in the chat, in normal sentences. When you search, it can list matching bookmarks with their titles and links. When you save something, it tells you the bookmark was created. You do not get a file or a report, just the result of what you asked.
Before you start
What you need
- A Raindrop.io account
- A Raindrop.io API token (a kind of password for apps; Raindrop.io gives you one in your account settings)
- Node.js 16 or higher on your computer
- The Claude desktop app if you want to use it there
Good to know
It can add new bookmarks to your Raindrop.io account, so check what your AI is about to save before you say yes.
