Agent Search MCP is a free helper that gives your AI the ability to search the web. It looks across engines like DuckDuckGo, Bing, Baidu, Sogou, Wikipedia and others, then hands back a short list of results with their sources. It is handy if you often ask your AI about facts, news or Chinese-language topics and want to see where the answers come from.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you using what it already learned. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI one new skill. This helper gives it a web search skill, so when you ask a question, your AI can go look things up online instead of guessing. You install it once, and after that your AI can search whenever you ask.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI a question that needs fresh information. Your AI passes your question to this helper. The helper sends it to several search engines at once, free ones first, and gathers the results. It removes duplicates, keeps track of which sources are truly independent, and notes any engine that failed. Then it hands your AI a short, tidy list of results with links and snippets, and your AI uses that to answer you.

What you can do with it

  • Search the web across many engines at once
  • Get results from Chinese engines like Baidu and Sogou
  • Check a claim against several independent sources
  • Read a full web page and turn it into clean text
  • Fetch a public GitHub project's README file
  • Fetch Chinese technical articles from CSDN or Juejin
  • See which engines were used and whether any failed

Try asking your AI

  • “Search the web for the latest news about electric cars in China”
  • “Verify this claim using at least three independent sources”
  • “Find recent articles about remote work in Chinese”
  • “Read this page and summarize it for me: https://example.com/article”

What it gives back to you

You get a short list of results, each with a title, a link and a snippet of text. Along with that, your AI can see which engines were searched, why the search stopped, and whether any engine had a problem. If a page was extracted, you get the full text in clean Markdown. Everything appears right in your chat as part of your AI's answer.

Before you start

What you need
