Taghvim MCP server

by mrfelfel

Let your AI work out dates, time zones, business days, holidays and repeating schedules without guessing.

Flow diagram: you ask your AI “What is the last business day of next month in the UK?”, the Taghvim MCP server connects it to Taghvim, and you get back clear answer in chat.

Taghvim is a small helper that gives your AI a proper sense of dates and time. It is handy for anyone who asks an assistant things like "what is the last working day of next month" or "what time is 9am London in Tokyo". Instead of your AI making up an answer, it checks with Taghvim and gives you a real one.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat. It has no clock and no calendar it can trust, so it often gets dates and time zones wrong. An MCP server is a small helper program you connect to your AI that gives it one new skill. Taghvim is that helper for dates and time: your AI asks it a question about a date, a time zone or a holiday, and Taghvim works out the exact answer.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI something involving a date, a time zone or a repeating schedule. Your AI sends that question to Taghvim. Taghvim does the actual date maths, checks time zone rules and holiday lists, and works out the exact answer. It sends the answer back to your AI as a clean result, not a guess. Your AI then explains it to you in normal words.

What you can do with it

  • Work out the current date and time in any city or time zone
  • Turn phrases like next Friday or in 3 weeks into an exact date
  • Add or subtract days, weeks and months with correct month-end handling
  • Convert a time from one time zone to another, including daylight saving changes
  • Find the next or last business day, skipping weekends and public holidays
  • Look up public holidays for over 100 countries
  • Build repeating schedules like every Monday or the first Friday of each month
  • Convert between the Gregorian and Persian (Jalali) calendars

Try asking your AI

  • “What is the last business day of next month in the UK?”
  • “Convert 9am on 15 March 2027 in London to Tokyo and New York time”
  • “Is 31 December 2026 a Thursday?”
  • “Give me every Monday and Wednesday for the next six weeks”

What it gives back to you

You get back a clear answer in the chat, usually a date, a time, or a short list of dates. For time zone questions you get the same moment shown in each zone you asked for. For holiday and business day questions you get the specific dates, with weekends and holidays already taken into account. It also tells you things like the weekday and whether daylight saving is in effect.
