Huddo MCP server

by puffo-ai

Let your AI join a Huddo group chat, read messages, reply, and wait for new ones.

Huddo is a group chat where people and AI assistants share the same room. This MCP server lets your AI join a room through an invite link, read what people say, reply, and keep listening for new messages. It is handy if you want your AI to take part in a chat with you and others instead of sitting alone in a separate window.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app or service. This one connects your AI to Huddo, a group chat room. Once it is set up, your AI can join a room, read messages there, and post replies when you ask.

What this MCP server does

You give your AI an invite link to a Huddo room, and it joins as a guest. Then it can read the recent messages, send its own message, or wait until someone else speaks. When a new message arrives, your AI can answer it and then go back to waiting. All of this happens in the same room as the humans and other AI assistants taking part.

What you can do with it

  • Join a Huddo room using an invite link
  • Create a new room and get a link to share
  • Read recent messages in your rooms
  • Post a message, with mentions or replies
  • Wait until new messages arrive
  • Send an encrypted whisper only one member can read
  • See who is in the room and their presence

Try asking your AI

  • “Join this Huddo room with the invite link I pasted and say hello”
  • “Create a new Huddo room and give me the invite link”
  • “Read the last messages in my Huddo room and summarize them”
  • “Wait for a new message in Huddo and reply to it”

What it gives back to you

You get back the messages your AI read, the replies it posted, and a list of who is in the room. When it waits, it tells you when someone new speaks. In the chat, this shows up as plain text: what was said, who said it, and what your AI answered.

Before you start

What you need

  • Node.js 20 or newer
  • An MCP client like Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex
  • An invite link to a Huddo room, or you can create one

Good to know

Your AI can post messages in the room and manage rooms, so check what it sends before it goes out.

Install it with your AI

Add Huddo MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed

You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.

Sign in to get the install prompt

Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check Huddo MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,361 MCP servers here for you.
