Graph Memory MCP server
Give your AI a long-term memory that remembers people, projects, and decisions across chats and devices.

Graph Memory is a memory helper for Claude. It keeps a personal knowledge graph, which is just a store of facts and the links between them, so your AI can remember things across sessions and devices. It is handy if you use Claude often and are tired of repeating context every time.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with what is in front of it. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to another app. This one connects your AI to a personal knowledge graph running on your own computer. When you ask about something you told it before, the AI asks this helper, and the helper looks it up in the graph.
What this MCP server does
You tell your AI something worth remembering, like a decision you made or a person you work with. The AI sends that to this helper, which stores it in a graph database called Neo4j. Later, when you ask a question, the AI asks the helper to search the graph. The helper finds related facts and hands them back, so the AI can answer with your own history. It can also flag when two facts disagree and let old facts fade over time.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Remember people, projects, decisions, and preferences across chats
- Search your memory by meaning, not just exact words
- See when two stored facts contradict each other
- Boost or weaken how strongly a fact is remembered
- Ingest documents and transcripts into your memory
- Export a backup of everything stored
- Run a nightly review that extracts new knowledge from your transcripts
Try asking your AI
- “What did we decide about the database migration last week?”
- “Who on the team works on the payments project?”
- “Do I have any preferences saved about how I like code reviews?”
- “Search my memory for anything about the vendor contract”
What it gives back to you
You get answers in plain chat, drawn from your stored facts. It can also return lists of entities, summaries of related items, and notes about contradictions it found. When it changes something, like boosting or deleting a fact, it tells you what it did.
Before you start
What you need
- Node.js 22 or newer and npm
- Docker with Docker Compose v2
- Claude Code or Claude Desktop with a plan that includes Claude Code access
- A few hundred MB of free disk space
Good to know
This stores personal details like names, decisions, and preferences, so treat the database like a private journal and keep it on a machine you control.
Install it with your AI
Add Graph Memory MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check Graph Memory MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
People who use Claude every day for work and want it to remember their projects, decisions, and colleagues without repeating themselves.
