Jev Decision MCP server

by amidabuddha

Let your AI make small typed decisions: pick a label, rate something, or answer yes or no.

Flow diagram: you ask your AI “Sort this support message into billing, technical, or other”, the Jev Decision MCP server connects it to TypeSafe, and you get back A pick, a score, or a yes or no.

This is a small helper that gives your AI a way to make structured decisions instead of just chatting. You send it a question with a few options, and it comes back with a pick, a score, or a yes/no probability. It is handy if you want your AI to sort, rate, or judge things in a consistent way.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only talk. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to a service. This one connects your AI to TypeSafe, a service that turns a question into a typed decision. So when you ask your AI to sort or rate something, it can send the question to TypeSafe through this helper and bring the answer back to you.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI to make a decision, like sorting a request into a team or judging whether a refund is needed. Your AI sends that question, with the options you listed, to this helper. The helper passes it to the TypeSafe service, which returns a pick, a score, or a yes/no probability. Your AI then shows you the answer in the chat. You can also send several separate questions in one go, and each answer comes back with its own label.

What you can do with it

  • Pick one label from a list you give it
  • Rate something on a scale of levels you define
  • Judge whether a condition is true or false
  • Send several separate questions in one batch
  • See a confidence number next to each answer
  • Get the raw probabilities for each option

Try asking your AI

  • “Sort this support message into billing, technical, or other.”
  • “Rate how urgent this request is on a scale from 1 to 5.”
  • “Does this email ask for a refund? Answer yes or no.”
  • “Pick a category for each of these five tickets in one go.”

What it gives back to you

You get back a short answer for each question: a chosen label, a score, or a yes/no probability. You also see the confidence and the probabilities behind the pick, plus how many tokens were used. In the chat it looks like a small list of answers, each tied to the question name you gave.

Before you start

What you need

  • Node.js 22 or newer with npm
  • An MCP client that can run local servers
  • An API key from TypeSafe Console (a kind of password for the service; the site gives you one)

Good to know

Your questions and the text you send go to the TypeSafe service and may cost money, so do not send private information you would not share with an outside service.
