Matryoshka Mind Map MCP server

by nhorie-canal

Let your AI read and write your Matryoshka mind maps and to-dos for you.

This is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to Matryoshka Mind Map, the app where you keep nested mind maps and to-do lists. Once it is set up, you can just talk to your AI and it will look at your maps, add new ones, or tick off tasks for you. It is handy if you already use Matryoshka and want to skip clicking around.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat. An MCP server is a little helper program that gives your AI a new skill. This one gives it a connection to your Matryoshka Mind Map account, so when you ask about your maps or tasks, the AI can actually look them up or change them for you. It runs quietly on your own computer while you talk to your AI.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI something like show me my maps or add a task. The AI passes your request to this helper. The helper signs in to your Matryoshka account and reads or writes your maps and to-dos there. Then it sends the result back, and your AI tells you what it found or what it changed. The first time a map is read, your AI asks for your permission.

What you can do with it

  • List all your Matryoshka maps
  • Turn ideas from a chat into a nested mind map
  • Check off a task you have finished
  • Add a new task to a specific map
  • Import long notes or Markdown into a map

Try asking your AI

  • “Show me my Matryoshka maps.”
  • “Add a task called buy printer paper to the Office map.”
  • “I finished the report task, please check it off.”
  • “Import these notes into my Project Ideas map.”

What it gives back to you

You get answers in plain chat: a list of your maps, a confirmation that a task was added or checked off, or a short note that your notes were imported. When it reads a map, it can show you the contents as a nested list. Everything appears right in the conversation, no separate window.

Before you start

What you need

  • A Matryoshka Mind Map account linked to Google, Apple, or an email address (anonymous-only accounts will not work)
  • The Claude desktop app for the easy install, or Node.js 18 or newer if you use Claude Code or another MCP client

Good to know

It can add, check off, and import things in your real Matryoshka account, so double-check before telling it to change a map you care about.

Install it with your AI

Add Matryoshka Mind Map MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed

You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.

Sign in to get the install prompt

Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check Matryoshka Mind Map MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,609 MCP servers here for you.
