Flow diagram: you ask your AI “What's on my calendar tomorrow?”, the Reclaim.ai MCP server connects it to Reclaim.ai, and you get back A plain answer in your chat.

This is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to Reclaim.ai, the app that plans your tasks and focus time around your calendar. Once it is set up, you can just tell your AI what you want and it will make the change in Reclaim for you. It is handy if you already use Reclaim.ai and want to stop clicking around its website for everyday changes.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill, in this case a connection to Reclaim.ai. You install it once, add your Reclaim key, and from then on your AI can look things up in your Reclaim account or make changes there when you ask. You never have to touch the helper yourself; your AI uses it quietly in the background.

What this MCP server does

You type a request in plain words, like asking what is on your calendar tomorrow. Your AI reads that request and calls this helper program. The helper then talks to Reclaim.ai using your own account key, and Reclaim sends back the answer or makes the change you asked for. Your AI turns that into a normal reply in the chat, so it feels like talking to a person who has your calendar open.

What you can do with it

  • Create tasks with a time estimate and a due date
  • Ask what is on your calendar for a given day
  • Mark a habit as done for today
  • Start a focus block for a set number of minutes
  • Look up your productivity stats for last week
  • Check and update existing tasks and habits
  • See your scheduling links and how they are set up

Try asking your AI

  • “Create a 2-hour task to review the Q1 budget, due Friday”
  • “What's on my calendar tomorrow?”
  • “Mark my morning workout habit as done”
  • “Show me my productivity stats for last week”

What it gives back to you

You get answers written in normal chat language, like a list of tomorrow's events with times, or a short summary of your stats for last week. When you ask it to create or change something, it tells you what it did, for example that the task was created with the time and due date you gave. Numbers like hours of focus time come back as plain figures you can read at a glance.

Before you start

What you need

  • A Reclaim.ai account
  • A Reclaim API key (a kind of password for apps; you get one free from your Reclaim developer settings page)
  • An AI app that supports MCP, such as the Claude desktop app
  • Python with uvx installed, or Docker, depending on which install option you pick

Good to know

This helper can create, change and complete things in your Reclaim.ai account, so it is worth reading what your AI says it is about to do before you say yes.
