rendoc MCP server
Let your AI create PDF invoices, contracts, reports and certificates from a simple prompt.

This is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to rendoc, a service that makes PDF documents. Once it is set up, you can describe the document you want in plain words and your AI will build the PDF for you. It is handy for anyone who regularly sends invoices, contracts, reports or certificates and would rather not open a design tool.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill, in this case the ability to make PDF documents through the rendoc service. You add it once to your AI app, and from then on your AI can ask rendoc to build a document whenever you ask for one. You do not need to understand how it works under the hood.
What this MCP server does
You tell your AI what document you need, for example an invoice for a client with a few line items. Your AI passes that request to this helper, which sends it to the rendoc service. rendoc builds the PDF using a saved template or markup your AI writes on the spot. The helper then hands the download link back to your AI, and you get it in the chat. You can also save templates so the same layout can be reused later.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Generate a PDF invoice from a short description
- Draft a contract or agreement as a PDF
- Issue certificates for course attendees
- Create a monthly report with your numbers
- Save a reusable template for future documents
- List and preview the templates you already have
- Check how much of your monthly rendoc usage is left
Try asking your AI
- “Generate an invoice for Acme Corp, 40 hours of consulting at 85 euros per hour, A4 portrait.”
- “Draft a freelance contract for TechStart SL, 18000 euro fee, 50 percent upfront.”
- “Issue a course completion certificate for Maria Gonzalez, dated today.”
- “Create a March 2026 sales report PDF with these KPIs and our logo.”
What it gives back to you
You get a link to download the finished PDF, plus a document ID and some basic details about it. If you asked for a list of templates, you get that list back in the chat. If you asked for usage numbers, you get a short summary of your monthly activity. The document itself opens as a normal PDF file.
Before you start
What you need
- A rendoc account (sign up free at rendoc.dev)
- A rendoc API key from your dashboard (a kind of password for apps)
- An MCP-compatible AI app such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Cursor
- Node.js installed on your computer so the npx command can run
Good to know
It can create and delete templates on your rendoc account and it uses your paid or limited rendoc usage, so check before letting it delete anything or generate in bulk.
Install it with your AI
Add rendoc MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check rendoc MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
Freelancers, small business owners and office teams who send invoices, contracts, reports or certificates and want them made quickly from a chat.
