Google Workspace MCP server (multi-account)
by orieg
Connect several Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Sheets and Docs accounts and let your AI work across all of them.

This is a helper that connects your AI assistant to Google Workspace, and not just one account. You can hook up your personal Gmail, your work account, and a client account all at once. It is handy if you juggle more than one Google login and are tired of switching between them by hand.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app, and here it is a connection to Google Workspace. Once it is running, your AI can look things up in your Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Sheets, Docs, Contacts, Tasks and Slides when you ask. You stay in the chat; the helper does the talking to Google.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something in plain words, like to check your unread email or find a file. The AI passes that request to this helper program. The helper talks to Google on your behalf, using the account you meant. Then it hands the answer back, and the AI shows it to you in the chat. If you have several accounts, you can say which one by a nickname you set, by email address, or by company domain.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Search and read email across several Gmail accounts
- Create and send email drafts
- List, create and reschedule calendar events
- Search files and folders in Google Drive
- Read and write cells in Google Sheets
- Read and edit text in Google Docs
- Look up contacts and manage Google Tasks
Try asking your AI
- “Summarize my unread email from the last two days across all accounts”
- “What is on my work calendar tomorrow morning”
- “Find the quarterly report in my client Drive account”
- “Add a row to my budget sheet with today's expenses”
What it gives back to you
You get answers in the chat: lists of emails, event details, file names, spreadsheet values, or the text of a document. When it changes something, like adding a calendar event or writing to a sheet, it tells you what it did. It can also hand back attachments or the contents of a file when you ask for them.
Before you start
What you need
- A Google account (or several) you want to connect
- Google Cloud credentials for each account, which the setup wizard helps you create
- An MCP-compatible AI app such as Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Cursor or Copilot
Good to know
It can read and change things in your Google accounts, including sending email drafts and editing files, so check what your AI is about to do before you approve it.
