Google MCP server

by vakharwalad23

Lets your AI read and send Gmail, manage Calendar events, browse Drive files and handle Tasks for you.

Flow diagram: you ask your AI “List my unread emails from today”, the Google MCP server reaches Gmail, Calendar, Drive and Tasks, and you get back answers and actions in your chat.

This is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to your Google account. Once it is set up, you can ask your AI to deal with email, calendar, Drive files and to-do lists in plain language. It is handy for anyone who lives in Gmail and Google Calendar all day and wants less clicking.

What is an MCP server? The 30-second version

On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app. This one connects your AI to Google services like Gmail, Calendar, Drive and Tasks. So when you ask a question or give an instruction, your AI can actually look things up or do things in your Google account.

What this MCP server does

You ask your AI something in normal words, like listing your unread emails. Your AI passes that request to this helper program. The helper then talks to Google on your behalf using your permission. Google sends back the answer, and the helper hands it to your AI, which shows it to you in the chat. If you asked it to do something, like send an email or create an event, it does that too and tells you it is done.

What you can do with it

  • Send emails with attachments from your computer or Google Drive
  • Download all attachments from an email to your computer
  • List, read, draft and delete emails
  • Create, update and delete calendar events
  • Find free time slots for scheduling meetings
  • Search, read, create, update and share Drive files
  • Create and manage task lists and to-do items

Try asking your AI

  • “List my unread emails from today.”
  • “Send an email to jane.doe@example.com with the subject Meeting Notes and body Here are the notes from today.”
  • “Create a calendar event titled Team Sync tomorrow at 10 AM for 1 hour.”
  • “Find a free 30 minute slot for me and Sam this week.”

What it gives back to you

You get answers in the chat, like a list of emails with subjects and senders, or your upcoming events with times. When you ask it to create or change something, it tells you what it did, for example that the event was added or the email was sent. For Drive, it can show file names, details and the text inside documents. Downloads of attachments land in a folder on your computer.

Install it with your AI

Add Google MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed

You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.

Sign in to get the install prompt

Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check Google MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
