TickTick MCP server
Let your AI create, find, update, and complete your TickTick tasks just by chatting with it.

This is a small helper that connects your AI assistant to your TickTick account. Once it is set up, you can talk to your AI in normal words and it will add tasks, look up what is due, and tick things off for you. It is handy if you live in TickTick and would rather type a sentence than click around the app.
What is an MCP server? The 30-second version
On its own, your AI can only chat with you. An MCP server is a small helper program that gives your AI a new skill or a connection to an app, and here that app is TickTick. So when you ask your AI something about your tasks, it passes the request to this helper, the helper talks to TickTick, and the answer comes back into your chat. You do not need to understand how it works under the hood, you just need to set it up once.
What this MCP server does
You ask your AI something in plain words, like what is overdue or to add a task for Friday. The AI uses this helper to send that request to your TickTick account. TickTick does the work, whether that is creating a task, searching your projects, or marking something done. The helper brings the result back and your AI explains it to you in the chat. You never have to open the TickTick app yourself unless you want to.
Click to zoomWhat you can do with it
- Create tasks with due dates, priorities, tags, and projects
- Search across all your projects for anything you mention
- See what is overdue, due today, or due this week
- Mark one task or up to 20 tasks as completed at once
- Move a task from one project to another
- Create and manage projects and subtasks
- Get a focus view of high priority and overdue items
Try asking your AI
- “Remind me to call the dentist on Friday”
- “What is overdue right now?”
- “Add review Q1 report to Work with high priority”
- “Show me everything high priority that is due this week”
What it gives back to you
You get answers written back in your chat, like a list of overdue tasks with their projects and due dates. When you create or change something, the AI tells you what it did, for example that a task was added or marked complete. Searches come back as a short list of matching tasks. It is all text in the conversation, nothing to open separately.
Before you start
What you need
- A TickTick account (or Dida365, the Chinese version)
- Python 3.10 or newer on your computer
- Claude Desktop or Claude Code
- A Client ID and Client Secret from developer.ticktick.com (free to create; these act like a password for the app)
Good to know
It can create, change, and permanently delete tasks and whole projects, and deleting a project also removes all its tasks, so be clear about what you ask it to remove.
Install it with your AI
Add TickTick MCP server to your AI, no technical skills needed
You don't install anything by hand. You copy one prompt, paste it into an AI that can work on your computer, and it checks, installs and connects the server for you, asking you when it needs something.
Sign in to get the install prompt
Members get a ready-made prompt that lets the Claude desktop app check TickTick MCP server, install it and connect it for them, step by step. You don't need any technical skills: you copy, paste and answer a few questions. Your connected AI can also find and install any of the 4,066 MCP servers here for you.
Who it's for
People who already use TickTick for their tasks and want to manage them by talking to their AI instead of clicking around.
